An exhaust gas purification arrangement comprising two honeycomb members lined with an exhaust gas purification catalyst, composed of a flat strip made of thin sheet metal and a corrugated strip also consisting of sheet metal, whereby the flat strip and the corrugated strip are arranged over one another, touching at the contact positions and defining many network-like gas passages in the direction of their centre axis and further comprising a tubular housing. The latter metal housing has a section of extended diam., in which the two honeycombs are arranged, axially spaced, whilst the honeycombs are attached to the metal housing. The outer walls of the honeycombs are connected to the inner wall of the metal housing in the region of the open ends and whereby the outer walls of the individaul honeycombs do not contact the inner wall of the metal housing in the region of the axial interspace. USE/ADVANTAGE - The exhaust gas purification arrangement can be incorporated in exhaust gas systems of motor vehicles. The outer walls of the honeycombs do not separate from the inner wall of the tubular metal housing over long periods of time, and without the occurrence of any cracks or tears, without that the outer wall of the honeycombs is fully connected to the inner wall of the metal housing.
