PURPOSE: To obtain a container heatable by a microwave radiation by thermoforming a polymer sheet having a core layer of an oxygen barrier polymer, a polyolefin layer provided on one side of the core layer and a rigidity imparting polymer layer provided on the other side, the rigidity imparting polymer being capable of substantially withstanding a temperature conditions required for microwaving a foodstuff. CONSTITUTION: A polymer layer formed of an oxygen barrier layer made of a copolymer (a thickness of, for example, 20μm) of an ethylene and a vinyl alcohol, a rigidity imparting layer made of a polycarbonate (a thickness of, for example, 90μm) provided on one surface of the barrier layer, and a polyethylene layer provided on the other surface of the barrier layer and adhered by co-extrusion molding the respective layers via a conventional adhesive bonding layer is manufactured by thermoforming. A thickness of an overall polymer sheet is, for example, 350μm. This polymer sheet can be sufficiently thermoformed unexpectedly at a wide temperature range such as, for example, at 120 to 200 deg.C.
|
