PURPOSE:To eliminate time required by stitching as well as to fold an air bag compactly by plating the inner sides of two sheets of base clothes consisting of the air bag with thermal plastic resin and the like, and thereby thermally welding a re-inforcing cloth onto its outer circumferential end section with solvent. CONSTITUTION:After at least one side surfaces of clothes have been plated with rubber or thermal plastic resin (nylon or polyester), the clothes are cut off into a specified form so that two sheets of the base clothes (front side base cloth 2, rear side base cloth 3) are piled up in such a way that the aforesaid plated surfaces come inside in order to be formed into a bag shape. In addition, the entire peripheries at the outer circumferential sections of both of the base clothes 2 and 3 are joined by means of solvent welding, and furthermore a re-inforcing cloth (rubber or thermal plastic resin) is thermally welded on the entire periphery of the joint section with solvent. By this constitution, stitching-up by a current method is eliminated, sufficient strength is secured at the joint section, the delamination of the joint section is thereby prevented even when expanded gas rapidly flows in. |
