<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a good-quality compost having high base-replacing amounts by blending a ligneous substance with dung of a subsidiary raw material such as dung of domestic animal or sludge, accumulating the blend, adding a microorganism having phenol oxidase activity thereto and treating the blend. CONSTITUTION:In production of compost blending a ligneous substance with a subsidiary raw material such as dung of domestic animal or sludge, accumulating the blend and post-aging the accumulated blend, a germ having phenol oxidase activity and/or cultured material thereof is inoculated into the blend in the above-mentioned post-aging process. As the used microorganism, germs having phenol oxidase activity can be widely used. The typical example includes a humified plant-producing filamentous fungus, lignin decomposing germ. The ligneous substance include rise straw, wheat straw, bean hulls, soybean cake, wood powder, wood chip, green grass or bamboo.</p> |
