<p>The cabinet has an angled, glazed, display section on a pedestal and a cooling unit under the serving shelf at the rear of the cabinet. The horizontal part of the display section (1) has a contact surface (2) cooled by conventional refrigeration pipes (18). Warmer air, at the top of the cabinet is drawn into a rectangular duct (9) via holes (13) at intervals along the shelf, behind a screening plate (11). A fan at one end of the duct forces the air along a rear duct (8), which has holes (15) in its lower face (12). The air from the rear holes passes through a conventional evaporation cooled heat exchanger (6) and is directed down (D) onto the food by baffle strips (17). Some of the air (C) in the middle of the cabinet is drawn into the heat exchanger directly, cooled and remerges as part of the lower output (D). @(12pp Dwg.No.2/4)@.</p> |
