The image visible on the screen is mirrored through a mirror system (2) out of the direction of the beam path of the image producing cathode ray tube (1). An optical system (3) may be so inserted into the path of the visible beam that the size of the image upon the visible screen can be changed. Pref. the image is represented to the side by an optical system. Behind the mirror system in the beam path of the cathode ray tube a screening device (6) may be mounted. ADVANTAGE - No health-damaging exposure of user to radiation from screen of CRT.
