PURPOSE:To enough slide a table top part in the length direction of a patient by providing a driving means to slide an intermediate slide member, which is arranged between a supporting member to be mounted to a column and the table top part. CONSTITUTION:For a slide mechanism 11 of a surgical operating table, a driving means 22 is provided to slide intermediate slide members 25 and 26 to be arranged between a supporting member 15, which is mounted to a column 2, and a table top part 3, and a pinions 32 and 33 of the respective intermediate slide members 25 and 26 are engaged to racks 20 and 21 of the supporting member 15. The intermediate slide members 25 and 26 are moved in a left direction only for a distance L by an actuator 22. However, in the case of this move, the pinions 32 and 33 are rotated in a counter-clock-wise direction while being engaged to upper and lower racks 20, 21 and 39. Accordingly, the upper rack 39, namely, waist part board supporting members 35 and 36 are added only by the rotational portion (distance L) of the pinions 32 and 33 and moved only for a distance 2L in the left direction. |
