PURPOSE:To prevent door mirrors from damages due to side brushes in a car washing machine by spacing the side brushes from positions of door mirrors sidewise of a vehicle during reciprocation of the vehicle for washing. CONSTITUTION:After the beginning of car washing, when a predetermined first set time T1 has elapsed from point 7A, i.e. when side brushes 7 come to positions 7B, the side brushes 7 move outward sideways to part from the sides of a vehicle V. Next, when a second set time T2 has elapsed after the beginning of outward sidewise movement of the side brushes 7, the side brushes 7 begin to approach the vehicle V. In the backward movement of the vehicle, the side brushes are parted from the sides of the vehicle at the positions of door mirrors in the time reversely calculated from the measured time in the forward movement so that the side brushes can be securely prevented from contacting the door mirrors. |
