PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium with low noise, high reliability and simple structure by forming an optical recording layer with track areas having different optical properties from other area between a film-type flat base material and a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:The optical recording layer 7 comprising an organic dye thin film is formed on the film-type flat base material 13. A photomask having a same pattern as guide grooves is attached to the recording layer to be irradiated with light to print the pattern of the mask on the layer 7. Thus, exposed part 8 and unexposed part 9 are formed and the exposed part 8 is used as the track area which has different optical properties from the unexposed part 9 to generate a phase shift of reflected light. Then the transparent substrate 6 is stacked on the layer 7 by use of the adhesive 12. By this method, such an optical recording medium having low noise, high reliability and simple structure of layers can be obtained. |
