PURPOSE:To realize the input of a graphic onto a display while confirming the area change of the display area by calculating and displaying the area value of an area enclosed by a closed curve without designating a subject graphic. CONSTITUTION:The graphic data inputted via a graphic data input means 20 is received by a control means 41 and transferred to a display means 46. Thus the graphic data is displayed on a display 10 and stored in a memory 30. At the same time, a closed curve recognizing means 42 analyzes the change of presence of a closed curve on the display 10. If the change is confirmed, the closed curve data is given to an inclusion relation recognizing means 43 for analysis of the inclusion relation between the closed curves. The means 43 evolves the relation between the closed curves in the form of a tree. Then the means 41 transfers the closed curve data to a area calculating means 44 to calculate the area enclosed by the closed curve with the closed curve having no branch defined as a size display subject among those closed curves evolved into a tree. |
