PURPOSE:To obtain an alkali manganese secondary battery which is good in charge-discharge cycle characteristic by using manganous acid or manganite as positive electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:In case of alkali manganese secondary battery made up by using zinc as negative electrode active material and an alkali aqueous solution as an electrolytic solution, manganous acid (H2MnO or MnO2.H2O) or manganite is used as positive electrode material. As an example of the manganite, one containing a kind of metal selected from calcium, magnesium, zinc or aluminium is cited. Thereby, it is possible to obtain alkali manganese secondary battery which is good in charge-discharge cycle characteristic. |
