Convention date, Nov. 20, 1937, [Class 136 (i)] Means for detachably mounting a control lever on a handle-bar or other tubular part of a motor-cycle comprises a clip 3 carrying the control lever 5 and having the form of a closed ring adapted to be secured to the handle-bar &c. tube 1 by a wedge 7, which is driven between the clip and the tube 1 by a screw 8 concealed in the clip. The wedge 7 engages a longitudinal groove 6 in the internal face of the clip 3, and may be driven in by the head of the screw 8 acting on the thick end of the wedge. The head of the screw 8 is located in a recess in the clip 3, which is formed with a collar 10 on which is slidably mounted the annularly-recessed end of a twist-grip 9. The twist-grip 9 is held in position by a closure member 12 fitted with a spring washer 13 and secured in the tube 1 by a screw 14 accessible through an aperture 15 in the grip 9. An aircontrol lever 2 is mounted on the tube 1 near the clip 3. |
