<p>The invention relates to a safety lock with a pivoting stator, of the type comprising a rotor (1) rotating in a stator (2) by means of a notched key interacting with lock members, such as followers or pairs of pistons returned by a spring, the said stator being mounted pivotably in a body and being indexed elastically relative to this body, the said rotor driving a lock control finger (7) which, when the stator pivots together with the rotor as a result of the insertion of the wrong key or a tool, is rendered incapable of driving the lock because of the shift of its axis of rotation made coaxial with the common axis of rotation of the rotor and stator, the said finger being fixed to a slide (6) movable in a diametral groove (5) of the rotor and returned elastically outwards. The lock according to the invention is characterised in that the stator (2) is equipped with a radial orifice (11) which, when the lock is in the position of rest, extends the said radial groove (5) of the rotor (1), and in that a presser (14) returned elastically towards the inside of the stator (2) closes off the said orifice (11) when the stator (2) is in the position of rest.
