The adaptor consists of a central body 1 which is extended at one end by an end-fitting 2; this end-fitting 2 has a conical opening 3 the walls of which are made from a semi-elastic material or coated by such a material. According to a preferred embodiment, this material is made from elastomer; the conicity and relative hardness of the elastomer provides sealing between the connection end-fitting and the end of the pipe 4 to be connected; the conicity allows different diameters of pipes to be installed, which pipes generally go into the dip-stick tubes 5 in the sump 12.
