The invention relates to a front jaw having a housing fixed to the ski and accommodating a release spring, which housing bears, with the interposition of a support member, two lateral angled levers each pivotable about a vertical axis and each resting with one arm on the ski boot and with the second arm on a slide subject to the action of the release spring. In this front jaw, in order to permit automatic adaptation of the vertical position of the sole depressor to the thickness of the sole, the invention provides that a flat bolt 320 is anchored in the housing 302 or in the support member 303, on which bolt the sole depressor 321 is displaceably mounted, a control surface 321b extending obliquely relative to the top 300a of the ski being arranged on the front of the sole depressor and resting on a counter-surface fixed on a spring plate 332 for the release spring 308. <IMAGE> |
