PURPOSE:To control so as to satisfy a desired image pickup conditions by permitting the CPU of a camera device main body to transmit a control signal to the CPU of a lens device based on an optical characteristic data signal and a controlled condition signal both of which the CPU of the main body has received. CONSTITUTION:In the initial stage after the lens device 2 is loaded on the camera device main body 1, a data transmission requesting signal is transmitted from the CPU 3 of the main body 1 to the CPU 4 of the device 2. The CPU 4 transmits optical characteristic data to the CPU 3 according to whether the data transmission requesting signal is received or not. In the control stage after the initial stage, the CPU 3 transmits a control signal to the CPU 4 based on the optical characteristic data signal and the controlled condition signal both of which the CPU 3 has received. With respect to the CPU 4, the diaphragm 17 of an image pickup lens 16 and plural lenses 18 are driven by the drive of a driving means 19. This satisfies desired photographing conditions irrespective of the optical characteristic of the device 2 loaded onto the main body 1. |
