PURPOSE:To obtain a color diffusion transfer photographic unit having sufficiently good handleability and permitting processing in a light chamber and providing a picture of high picture quality by incorporating a specified compd. into a processing compsn. for a processing soln. of a neutralizing system in a layer having a neutralizing function. CONSTITUTION:A layer having a neutralizing function is contained in a transparent covering sheet and/or in a photosensitive element, and serves for neutralizing a processing soln. of a neutralizing system. The pH of the neutralizing stage changes along a reverse S shaped curve, and a diffusive hydroquinone type compd. expressed by the general formula [I] is contained in the processing soln. Thus, a film unit having superior handleability permitting processing in a light chamber is obtd., which provides a picture having low minimum density, superior color reproducibility, high sharpness and high picture quality. In the general formula [I], each R1-R3 is an H atom, halogen atom, (substituted)alkyl group, etc., and each can form a ring. Each R1-R4 may be same or different to each other. |
