PURPOSE: To obtain a composite recording layer having an excellent property by further using a solvent mixture consisting of org. solvent and water for a photopolymer system capable of being developed with an aq. soln. alone to laminate a relatively thin recording layer twice or repeatedly to a specified thickness. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant mixture consisting of org. solvent and water and contg. 70wt.% glycerine dissolved in water is used for a photopolymer system capable of being developed with an aq. soln. alone to laminate a relatively thin recording layer twice or repeatedly to finish a recording layer having a final predetermined thickness. The laminated recording layer can be formed by combining the layers of the same or different composition having 40-200μm, especially about 100μm, thickness. In this case, each layer meets a specified requirement in the case of the different layers. Since the recording layers having a different photosensitivity are combinded by lamination, for example, photosensitivities of various levels are attained in the interior of the finished thick recording layer.
