The packaging for oblong objects in the pharmaceutical industry or the like comprises a box made from a single folding blank (1) with back wall and four side walls (4,5,18) of which one is connected to a lid (3) and the other opposite side is connected to a web (6) running parallel to the base (2) to partially overlap the interior space. The web (6) has a section (7) which is angled towards the base (2) and is provided with recesses (8) to fix the objects (19) in the package. The recesses are designed to match the outer contour of the . objects being packaged and are pref. concave. The two side walls running across the web can be designed as stand-up prismatic hollow bodies (18) wherein the web has at the two ends an insert tongue (14) which engages in the prismatic hollow bodies (18). ADVANTAGE - Additional packing inserts are not required to hold the objects secure.
