PURPOSE:To simplify packaging operation, protect elements from external pressure and prevent the static deterioration thereof by applying a static preventive coat to the recess parts to an insulated container for receiving CAN type optical element and to the inner surface of an insulated lid for covering such recess parts. CONSTITUTION:The head part 3a and lead 3b of an optical element 3 are placed into the recess parts 2a and 2b of a container 2 consisting of an insulating material, simultaneously with the head part 3a thereof fitted into the recess part 1a of an insulated lid 1, the recess parts 2a and 2b thereof are covered with the lid 1 and the container 2 and the lid 1 are sealed together by thermal compression bonding or the like at their contact for packaging the optical element 3. This method permits the optical element 3 to be directly packaged in the container without the need of any double layer packaging. Furthermore, the container itself has the ability of retaining its shape and, therefore, is resistant to external pressure and a static preventive coating film 4 is also formed on the recess parts 2a and 2b of the container 2 and on the recess part 1a and a flat part 1b of the lid 1, thereby imparting static resistance to the container. |
