PURPOSE:To freely change the line pressure at the time of an engine brake by applying the line pressure to a pressure modifier valve in the opposite direction to the original pressure in the engine brake range of an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:In the automatic shift range, the throttle pressure PgammaM is inputted as the original pressure to a pressure modifier valve 4 through an inlet 157 to cope with the pressure modifier pressure PMF serving as an output to obtain the regulated line pressure PL in response to an engine load. On the other hand, in the engine brake range, the line pressure PL is inputted as the original pressure, the pressure PMF matching with it is generated by reducing the line pressure PL as the original pressure, and a pressure regulator valve responding to it maintains the line pressure at the high fixed value as requested. The line pressure at the time of an engine brake can be freely changed by the structure change of the pressure modifier valve with no large design change. |
