PURPOSE:To obtain a composite material composition improved in properties in both higher and lower temperature regions, especially, impact strength at low temperatures by melt-mixing a PP resin with a specified polyester fiber and molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. PP resin (A), preferably highly crystalline one, 10-100 pts.wt. polyester fiber (B) of a fiber diameter of 1-10d, a fiber length of 0.5-50mm and a fiber strength of 5-13g/d, desirably, a polyethylene terephthalate fiber obtained by the polycondensation of ethylene glycol with terephthalic acid or a conjugate fiber thereof with another polyolefin fiber and 5-50 pts.wt., optionally, 5-50 pts.wt. auxiliary additives (C) such as a synthetic rubber such as an ethylene/propylene rubber, a thermoplastic resin or an inorganic filler are melt-mixed together at 200 deg.C or below, and the mixture is molded. |
