PURPOSE:To improve resolving power and to obtain scrupulous images by consuming the energy accumulated in an inductor with low resistance by a 1st switching means at the time of signal transmission and separating the inductor from an ultrasonic probe by a 2nd switching means at the time of signal reception. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted by connecting a circuit consisting of a low resistance R4, a switching element Tr2 and a reverse current blocking diode D3 which blocks the passage of reverse current by a diode for protecting an FET if the Tr2 is the FET in series in parallel to the inductor L1 and inserting a circuit connected with diodes D1, D2 in reverse parallel between L1 and a coaxial cable C3. The transmission wave of the amplitude of two-fold (two-fold in positive and negative) the potential of a high-voltage power source for signal transmission is obtd. by utilizing the surge voltage by the inductor in the 1st wave of the transmission wave. The energy accumulated in the inductor is consumed with the low resistance after one wave of the transmission wave, by which the one wave transmission eliminating the trailing of the transmission signal is enabled. On the other hand, the signal reception is enabled without deteriorating the frequency characteristic possessed by the ultrasonic probe at the time of signal reception, by which the waveform which decreases trailing in both the transmission and reception is formed. |
