PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic printing paper good in whiteness even in the case of rapid processing conditions by incorporating a silver halide developer in a photographic element on a support and adding a mixture obtained by premixing a polymer with a specified emulsion dispersion. CONSTITUTION:The photographic element formed on the support contains the silver halide developer, and the mixture obtained by premixing the emulsion dispersion prepared by dissolving an oil-soluble fluorescent whitening agent in a high boiling point organic solvent with the polymer having hetero rings, preferably, such as pyridine rings and pyrrolidine rings, and substituted by sulfo groups, such as alkylsulfonic acid or substituted alkylsulfonic acid groups is added in the photographic element, thus permitting the obtained photographic printing paper to undergo rapid processing and to be high in whiteness. |
