PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility by adding a compd. which forms the dye of the hue suitable for color masking at the time of processing to the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by the formula I is incorporated into the title photosensitive material. In the formula, A denotes a residual coupler group or oxidation reduction group which releases -(L)n-DP imagewise as the function of silver halide development; DP denotes a residual dye precursor group having a nitroso group; L denotes a combination group or timing group; n denotes 0 or 1. The compd. expressed by the formula can be added to a desired emulsion layer or the adjacent layer thereof when A denotes the residual coupler group. The compd. expressed by the formula II, etc., are usable. |
