PURPOSE: To secure safe running in case of loss of inflation pressure of a tire by providing a safety support to be fitted inside the tire with a base to be fitted to a rim, a cylindrical crest, and a connector for connecting the rim and the crest together, and by forming it with a Z shape cross section on the whole. CONSTITUTION: A safety support 3 to be fitted on a rim 20 inside a tire 1 for supporting a tread 10 of the tire 1 when there is loss of inflation pressure of the tire is composed of a base 30 to be integrally fitted to the rim 20, a cylindrical-like crest 31 contrived to come in contact with the tread 10 when loss of inflation pressure takes place, and a connector 32 for connecting the base 30 and the crest 31 together relatively in a movable style. In this case, the connector 32 running through the center of the crest 31 connects with the base 30 at the side to be fitted to the outside of a vehicle as for the plane perpendicular to a shaft and connects with the crest 31 at the side facing inward of the vehicle as for the plane perpendicular to the shaft, or formed in a Z- shaped cross section on the whole. |
