High-frequency and high-density electrical-plug system having earth-connection contacts located between adjacent columns of contacts which convey a signal in order to provide signal integrity. In particular, the system includes two adjustable plug connectors in which, in one of them, the earth contacts are contact blades and, in the others, the earth contacts are plates with support crosspieces which engage on the blades in such a manner that, when the two plug connectors are fitted together, the earth contacts complete an earth circuit and the plates provide a barrier between adjacent columns of adjusted contacts which convey the signal.
