The rev control initiates regulation of the idling revs for maintaining the optimum idling revs, in dependence on the detected throttle opening, the vehicle velocity and the actual engine revs. Pref. The engine intake line (6) contains a throttle valve (8) which can be moved into an idling position, with a bypass line (12) containing a control valve (14) adjusted in dependence on the signal from a rev sensor (24), to maintain the optimum idling revs in an initial regulation mode. A second regulation mode allows the control valve (14) to supply a constant quantity of air to the engine when the idling regulation interia are not fulfilled. |
