PURPOSE:To achieve a small temperature coefficient for saturation magnetization (4piMs) by substituting a portion of the composition of Gd-Y-Ca-In-V series magnetic garnet with a suitable of Al and Mn. CONSTITUTION:A material denoted by a composition formula GdxY3-x-2zCa2zFe5-u-v-y-zInyVzAluMnvO12 and having composition satisfying 1.0<=x<=3.0, 0<y<=0.5, 0<z<=0.5, 0<u<=1.0, 0<v<=0.1. When a portion is substituted in this way with Al and Mn, the dielectiric loss and the temperature coefficient can be reduced. In this case, the Al amount u and the Mn amount v are determined to be 0<u<=1.0, 0<v<=0.1 based on the experiment. Thus, the temperature coefficient for saturation magnetization (4piMs) is suppressed to have very small value less than 0.08%, and the dielectric loss (tandelta) is reduced to about 2X10<-4>. |
