<p>PURPOSE:To uniformize a distribution of light quantity on an image forming position of a photosensitive body or others to perform a high-quality recording by correcting periodic irregularities in light quantity in an array direction caused by a pitch of aligning image forming elements of an image forming element array. CONSTITUTION:When one of light emitting segments of a light emitting element array 3 is selected by a shift register 6 and emits light for a time regulated by a latch circuit 8, any one of two or more types of drive voltages from a drive voltage generation circuit 9 is selected by a drive voltage selection circuit 10 according to an alignment position of each light emitting segment in the light emitting element array. The corresponding light emitting segment is lighted by the drive voltage through a light emitting element drive part. In addition, a change in light emitting strength is controlled by using a plurality of electric current values. A change in light emitting time is conducted by selecting one of a plurality of types of pulse width signals previously prepared by using a pulse signal generation circuit 11 and a pulse signal selection circuit 12 for every light emitting segment. In this manner, the element can be driven for a light emitting time corresponding to the pulse width.</p> |
