The clutch assembly has a cover, a pressure plate and a diaphragm spring for using the pressure plate towards and away from the cover disposed between the pressure plate and the cover. The cover covers the diaphragm spring and the pressure plate and has notches passing through the diaphragm spring and equaly spaced circumferentially around the diaphragm spring. Stud pins support the diaphragm spring spaced circumferentially around the cover and are fixed at one of their ends to the clutch and away from the cover, and pass through selected notches in the diaphragm spring.
