Grinding bevelled edges of spectacle lens - by copying machine with stylus with conical tip
摘要
The lenses of a pair of spectacles have bevelled edges in order to fit into a V-shaped groove in the spectacle frame. The bevelled edges of the lenses are produced by grinding on a copying machine. The copying machine is controlled by means of a stylus which has a conical tip (8). The angle of the cone forming the stylus tip corresponds to the included angle of the bevel faces of the lens edge and is larger than the included angle of the V-shaped groove in the spectacle frame (2). This feature ensures that the bevel faces of the lens fit closely against the edges of the V-shaped groove. USE - Spectacle lens mfr. and fitting to frames. (4pp Dwg.No.3/4)
