<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate loss of a return operation to a normal condition during starting of the device, etc. by raising a supplying means to return to a specified initial position only when the supplying means is not found at the specified upper limit position when the device starts. CONSTITUTION:When a stacker 11 is loaded with sheets and the device is started, a drive motor rotates forward to allow a supplying means 23 to contact an upmost sheet of the sheets and supply the sheets, and the sheet supplying operation starts. When the supplying means 23 is at an initial upper limit position at the time of starting the device, the supplying means is directly lowered to contact the sheet and starts the supplying operation. When a sensor detects that the supplying means is not at the initial upper limit position when the device starts, the drive motor rotates reversely to allow the supplying means to once return to the upper limit position, and the supplying means is directly lowered to start the supplying operation. The loss of the return operation to the normal condition at the time of opening and closing the device, and starting the device, or after the treatment of jam, can thus be eliminated.</p> |
