The invention relates to monoazo dyes of the formula <IMAGE> (1) wherein K is the radical of a coupling component of the benzene, naphthalene or heterocyclic series, and R is hydrogen, halogen, carboxy, a C1-C6alkyl, C1-C6alkoxy, C2-C6alkanoylamino, C1-C6alkylsulfonylamino, C1-C6alkylsulfonyl, phenyl(C1-C4)alkylsulfonyl or naphthyl(C1-C4)alkylsulfonyl or benzoyl radical, which radicals may be further substituted, or is a <IMAGE> group, wherein each of R1 and R2 independently of the other is hydrogen or a C1-C6alkyl, C5-C7cycloalkyl, phenyl or naphthyl radical, which radicals may be further substituted, and wherein X is hydrogen, halogen or a C1-C6alkyl, C1-C6alkoxy, C2-C6alkanoylamino or C1-C6alkylsulfonylamino radical, which radicals may be further substituted. These dyes give dyeings of good light- and wetfastness properties on polyamide material.
