The invention concerns a suspension and movement arrangement for a mirror, especially for an interferometer. The arrangement includes a mirror cradle 1, to which mirror 2 is attached and a base 3. Mirror cradle 1 is arranged moveably on the base 3 so that the mirror cradle 1 is supported on the base 3 by means of an elongated support 4a, 4b. This support is spring-loaded in the direction of the principal movement axis A-A of the mirror cradle. The arrangement also includes a movement device 5 by means of which the mirror cradle 1 is moved relative to the base 3. <IMAGE>
