PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of metal and deposition of sediment in absor bent liquid by a method wherein compound of boron is added to the composition of an absorptive type freezer using the solution of lithium bromide as absorptive liquid, and lithium molybdate as a corrosion restricting agent. CONSTITUTION:Lithium borate is added to the solution of lithium bromide to promote a passive state film formation at a metal surface by lithium molybdate, thereby corrosion of metal is prevented and further pollution of the solution of lithium bromide and occurrence of sediment are prohibited. As a result, in case that the solution of lithium bromide added with lithium borate is applied in an absorptive type freezer, corrosion of metal can be prevented, a clogging of a tray of a low temperature heat exchanger 9 or an absorbing unit 5 caused by a crystalized substance can be avoided and a freezing capability of the absorptive type freezer is kept at its superior state for a long period of time. Also in case that lithium molybdate shows a concentration less than a critical concentration, lithium borate shows a hydrolysis, remaining oxygen is present in the absorptive liquid, the immobilized state of the surface of metal in the absorptive type freezer is assisted and then the suppression of metal in the surface of metal can be promoted. |
