PURPOSE:To make it possible to adhere tungsten carbide having superior wear resistance to aluminum with tight adhesion by directly adhering a tungsten carbide layer to the surface of the aluminum having a specified purity. CONSTITUTION:The purity of aluminum is regulated to >=98wt.% and a tungsten carbide layer is directly adhered to the surface of the aluminum by mixing tungsten hexafluoride with arom. hydrocarbon and hydrogen in 2-10 atomic ratio of carbon to tungsten and >=3 atomic ratio of hydrogen to carbon and by bringing the resulting gaseous mixture into a chemical vapor deposition reaction at 250-500 deg.C on the aluminum. Tungsten carbide having superior wear resistance can be adhered to the aluminum with tight adhesion. |
