In a push-digger for root crops, especially potatoes, which consists of a pushing machine and of a push-digger attachment mounted on the latter, a combine harvester without reaper or a maize chopper without maize teeth is provided as a pushing machine. The use of a combine harvester or maize chopper as a pushing machine satisfies in an especially advantageous way the requirements which are to be placed on the pushing machine.
