摘要 PURPOSE: To facilitate the binding of a biological substance by placing an impregnation layer impregnated with a hydrophilic polymer bearing specific charge and a hydrophilic functional polymer layer consisting of a specific biologically functional polymer, on the surface of a granular porous support. CONSTITUTION: The preparation of this material comprises: forming on a granular porous support bearing negative or positive charge, an impregnation layer impregnated with a hydrophilic polymer bearing charge opposite to that of the support, wherein the amount of charge present on the hydrophilic polymer is substantially equal to that of the charge present on the support; then, coating the hydrophilic-polymer- impregnation layer with another hydrophilic layer which is bound to the impregnation layer by irreversible chemical coupling and consists of a biologically functional polymer that contains functional groups each having a specific but reversible affinity for at least one biological substance, so as to laminate the hydrophilic functional polymer layer to the hydrophilic-polymer-impregnation layer, to prepare the objective granular material capable of binding a biological substance. The material is useful as a support for use in affinity chromatography.
