<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum pointing precision by automatically selecting a conversion value indicating the extent of movement of a cursor for the extent of movement of a mouse corresponding to information to be handled based on a display area to which the cursor belongs. CONSTITUTION:A display menus 15 displays a cursor 21 on a screen 20, and storage means 12 are determined correspondingly to plural display areas R1 and R2 which can be allocated on the screen 20, and plural conversion values indicating the extent of movement on the screen 20 of the cursor 21 for that of a mouse 14 are stored in respective storage means 12. A control means 11 reads out the conversion value corresponding to the display area R1, to which the cursor 21 belongs, out of display areas R1 and R2 assigned on the screen 20 from storage means 12 and controls the extent of movement of the cursor 21 on the screen 20 based on this read-out conversion value. Since the conversion value indicating the extent of movement of the cursor 21 for that of the mouse 14 is automatically selected, an optimum pointing precision is always obtained.</p> |
