PURPOSE:To discharge ink stably by forming a large number of ink passages and an ink fountain onto a substrate as grooves and washing and treating the internal surfaces of the grooves by the use of an alkali solution. CONSTITUTION:A large number of ink passages composed of ink nozzles 2, ink injection passages 3, ink pressure chambers 4 and ink feeds 5 and an ink fountain 6 in common with these nozzles, passages and chambers are shaped onto a glass substrate 1 as grooves through etching. A diaphragm 9 is joined with the glass substrate 1 to which the grooves are formed, the solution of an alkali detergent is made to flow into the grooves from an ink feed opening bored to the ink fountain 6 section, and the grooves are dipped in the solution as they are, ultrasonic-washed and washed by water. The grooves are ultrasonic- washed by acetone, an alkali solution (the ethanol solution of potassium hydroxide) is made to flow into the grooves, and the grooves are dipped as they are and washed by water. In an ink-jet recording head treated in this manner, bubbles are hardly left in the ink passages, and residual bubbles are easy to be removed. |
