<p>The opening rate of an expansion valve (4) is adjusted in accordance with the magnitude of a detected load of the cycle. The load is detected by sensing the temp. of a coolant injected from a compressor (1). When the detected load exceeds a prescribed upper limit, the opening rate of the valve is stored. The opening rate of the valve is increased over that level previously stored in a memory, for reducing the load of the cycle of a lower level than a prescribed lower limit. After the load of the refrigeration cycle decreases from the lower limit, the opening rate of the valve is adjusted to a larger level than that level previously stored in a memory by a prescribed extent.</p> |
