The device can be fitted to one of the parts (1) of a child's carriage such as a pusher, cradle or perambulator. It comprises an electric motor (2) which, by means of a speed reducer (3) which imparts a rocking motion to a rotary drive shaft (7). A clutch system (5) serves to couple the shaft (7) with a wheel (4) of the carriage so as to impart a regular to-and-fro movement to the latter. The power supply to the motor (2) is controlled by a timer case (9) with remote-control element (22) or voice-operated element (23).
