PURPOSE:To inexpensively manufacture a clean photographic printed matter having satisfactory external appearance by forming an image of first halftone group representing the gradation of the image and second halftone group of uniform dots having predetermined size with ink of the same color over the whole area of the image region with the first halftone group. CONSTITUTION:A photographic original is separated by one color by an electronic photoengraving machine to form a halftone negative, and printed on a photosensitive member through a trimming mask by a printer. A halftone 7 is lost on the predetermined area 8 of the trimmed peripheral edge of the exposed part. Then, a screen 9 of a colorless halftone plate is printed on the same photosensitive member through the mask, and developed to obtain an original printing film. Thereafter, with the film as a master a printing plate material is printed by a printer to manufacture an actual printing plate, and a photograph is printed by a letterpress printing. Thus, the omission of the halftone of the peripheral edge 4 of the image is corrected, and a telephone card having a clean model design having a beautiful external appearance of trimming line can be manufactured. |
