Apparatus for ordering or aligning and transporting in particular rotationally symmetrical or similarly formed cylindrical articles for the purpose of aligned feeding to a packaging or similar machine, which apparatus has a supporting plate which bears the articles, can be caused to vibrate by means of a vibrating generator and is covered with a brush carpet, and in which apparatus, in the feed region (C) of the articles (17) there is arranged, on the supporting surface (12), a plurality of brush carpet segments (14a-14e), the bristles (15) of which are in each case inclined in a plane which enclose, with the direction of motion (16) of the articles (17) outside the feed region (C) or with the plane of the inclined bristles (15) in the said region, an angle which can be up to 90@ or more. <IMAGE>
