TIMING SIGNAL GENERATION CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To easily change a timing signal generated at an LSI by an external PROM with low speed and small in capacity by obtaining the timing signal by comparing the output of an address counter with timing data and generating the coincidence signal of a start position with the stopping position. CONSTITUTION:Comparators (48-51) to compare the timing data of the start position with the stopping position stored in the external PROM J54 and the timing data in the LSI with the output of the address counter 41, and circuits JK.FF 52 and 53 to generate the timing signal are provided. Therefore, the timing signal can be generated at an arbitrary position by changing the timing data of the start position with the stopping position in the external PROM. Here, it is enough to prepare the PROM with small 2N bytes of the N of the timing signal in capacity as the PROM 54. In such a way, it is possible to generate the timing signal at the arbitrary position and with arbitrary pulse width by one external PROM with low speed and small in capacity, and to easily respond to the change of the timing.
