Gassing apparatus for heat-treatment installations with protective- or reactive-gas operation

A gassing apparatus as shown in the drawing Fig. 1 for heat-treatment installations using the continuous principle, e.g. oscillating-table, roller-hearth, belt and pusher-type furnaces, is described, in which apparatus gassing lances (1) equipped with gas passage holes (2) over their entire length are provided to introduce the gas or gas mixture 2. The gas passage holes (2) must be in one direction, the diameter of the gas passage holes (2) should be 4-6 mm, preferably 5 mm. The gassing lances (1) must be made of highly heat-resistant steel with a nickel content of at least 20%, preferably 1.4841. In addition, a mixing station (5) comprising a housing (6) and lamellae (7) should be mounted between gassing lances (1) and gassing station (15). <IMAGE>
