PURPOSE:To improve the solution of an ultrasonic tomographic picture and to obtain satisfactory diagnostic information by generating a transmitting/ receiving signal with a trigger signal from a vital wave detecting part, controlling the transmission/reception of an ultrasonic wave from a probe and controlling the input/output of data to the picture memory of an adding and averaging means according to the order of a time phase in a vital signal. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave transmission/reception control circuit 8 generates the transmission/reception signal by the trigger signal from a vital signal detecting part 5, controls the transmission/reception of the ultrasonic wave from the probe and controls the input/output of the data to a frame memory 10 of an adding and averaging means 7 according to the order of the time phase in the vital signal. First and second multiplexers 11a and 11b are controlled by using the trigger signal so that, for example, the tomographic picture data of pulsation time phase which is respectively correspondent to each frame memory 10, can be accumulated, added and averaged according to the order of the pulsation time phase. A digital filter 13 to be provided on the output side of the adding and averaging means 7 is a pseudo-reverse filter to consider an ultrasonic beam profile. Then, the solution of a picture is improved. |
