DIVIDING METHOD FOR CERAMIC SUBSTRATE FOR ELECTRONIC PART

PURPOSE:To secure excellent dividability and dividing accuracy even for thickness and dispersion of divided grooves by dividing in pieces by passing a ceramic substrate between the upper rotary roller and lower rotary roller which are in the equal width to the ceramic substrate. CONSTITUTION:An upper roller 2 is made in about same width as that of a ceramic substrate and by carrying the ceramic substrate 1 between the upper roller 2 and lower roller it is divided in a piece like. So the face with which the upper roller 2 and a transfer belt 4 are brought into contact is eliminated, the escape of the load of the upper roller 2 to the transfer belt is eliminated and the load concentrated of the upper roller 2 is applied on the ceramic substrate 1 only which was carried in by the transfer belt 4. Consequently excellent dividability and dividing accuracy can be obtd. with coping with the thickness of the ceramic substrate 1 and the dispersion of divided grooves.
