LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a lipopolysaccharide, useful as interferon inducers, tumor necrotic factor inducers and carcinostatic agents and contained in Gram-negative bacterial cells with low toxicity to mammals without containing 2-keto-3- deoxyoctonates. CONSTITUTION:The objective lipopolysaccharide with low toxicity to mammals without containing 2-keto-deoxyoctonates. The above-mentioned lipopolysaccharide is obtained by culturing Gram-negative methanol assimilating bacteria, such as Pseudomonas extroquens NCIB9399.
